Starting a career is exciting, but it can also feel confusing and stressful. From writing the perfect CV to facing interviews confidently, every small detail matters. Many talented students face challenges when they begin their job journey, not because they lack ability, but because they are unsure how to present themselves effectively or handle the interview process.

To help them overcome these challenges, Empower Edge Limited organized a special seminar at University Women’s Federation College titled “Your Career Starter Pack: How to Unlock the Dream Job.” The goal of this session was to prepare students for real-world job opportunities by helping them improve their CVs, strengthen their communication, and build confidence for interviews.

The seminar was led by our experienced mentor, who shared practical and easy-to-follow advice on career preparation. The session began with a detailed discussion on CV writing, where students learned how to create professional, well-structured CVs that reflect their strengths, achievements, and unique qualities. They were taught how to move beyond simple templates and write CVs that tell their personal and academic stories in a professional way.

The next part of the session focused on one of the most important parts of job hunting, facing interviews. Many students often feel nervous or unsure about how to perform during interviews, even if they are qualified for the position. The mentor explained how to prepare mentally, answer questions with clarity, and use confident body language. Students were also given tips on how to highlight their skills, handle tricky questions, and make a positive first impression on employers.

Throughout the seminar, real-life examples and interactive discussions made the session engaging and relatable. Students learned not just what to say in interviews, but how to say it effectively. They also gained insights into what employers look for during the selection process and how to align their personal goals with career opportunities.
