Md. Rafiqul Islam
Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of diverse and enriched experience in business and corporate management. His career spans leadership roles across multiple publicly listed companies in sectors including non-banking financial institutions, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing—both in Bangladesh and abroad.
Currently serving as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Company Secretary of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, Mr. Islam plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic governance, compliance, and operational frameworks. Prior to joining Walton, he held senior leadership positions including Head of Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary at The ACME Laboratories Limited. His earlier career also includes key roles at LankaBangla Finance Limited, International Leasing and Financial Services Limited (ILFSL), and Pancam (Thailand) Co. Limited in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mr. Islam is a Qualified Chartered Secretary and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). He holds a Master’s degree in Governance Studies from the University of Dhaka and an MBA in Marketing from a reputed private university. He is also a Life Member of the Bangladesh Accounting Association (BAA).
