A. K. M. Kamruzzaman is a visionary and accomplished senior leader with over 27 years of diverse experience across Financial Institutions, Real Estate, RMG & Textiles, and Professional Service firms. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Spacezero Limited (SIMPLETREE), a leading real estate developer, he oversees the group’s total operations, including strategic leadership, process optimization, and digital transformation.

Throughout a distinguished 23-year tenure at LankaBangla Finance PLC, Mr. Kamruzzaman held numerous pivotal roles, culminating in his service as Acting Managing Director. As Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Operations, he managed a massive portfolio of over BDT 12,000 Crore of Fund under Management (FUM). He played a central role in transforming LankaBangla from a loss-making entity into a market leader by spearheading its IPO and Rights Offer, financial restructuring, optimizing liquidity, digital transformation and significantly improving NPL recovery.

A pioneer in FinTech and Digital Transformation, Mr. Kamruzzaman has led over 20 comprehensive digital initiatives. His expertise includes implementing Core Banking Systems (CBS), AI-powered credit scoring, and integrating digital transaction platforms like RTGS and MFS to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. His earlier career included managerial roles in the RMG and Textile industries, where he developed specialized costing and MIS systems for major groups such as Prime Textile and OPEX & Sinha.

Beyond his corporate executive roles, he is a prominent figure in the professional community, having served as a Corporate Board Director for MIDAS Financing Ltd. and LankaBangla Asset Management Company Ltd. He has held significant leadership positions within the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), serving as National Council Member, Secretary, and Treasurer. Internationally, he contributed to the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) as a member of the ITAG Committee.

Mr. Kamruzzaman holds an MBA in Finance from IBA (DU) and an M. Com in Accounting from the University of Dhaka. He is a Fellow Member (FCMA) of ICMAB and has completed advanced professional development in Digital Transformation at MIT Sloan School of Management, Strategic Management at SIM (Singapore) and Sustainability Reporting at the GRI Academy, Amsterdam. He is recognized for his ability to align financial strategy with corporate objectives to drive long-term sustainability and enterprise value.
